I am passionate about equality for all people, believing that (with the right opportunity and support structures) those who struggle to achieve and fit society’s “squares”, can become high achievers with access to the fullness of life’s opportunities as a whole and contributing persons. I love my family, horses, art and the sea!

For me, being successful doesn’t mean changing the world, it means helping people to change their world. At True Trails, that’s what I get to do, directly and indirectly. I enjoy being on a team that facilitates all roles. I love horses, cats, craft, meeting new people and keeping things organized and orderly.

I love working with and teaching children; seeing them learn new skills, gain knowledge, and confidence with reading, writing and horses. Seeing the kids thrive while applying their knowledge and capabilities is exciting.

skill development

“Its been amazing to watch and be there with Mia while she is learning and growing! From not writing or talking much and not being focused, to where she can now concentrate, follow instruction, write letters and basic words. Her speech is so much clearer!”

“My son has come such a long way with his reading and writing. It has also developed his balance and work ethic. He looks forward to every Monday. I'm sure without True Trails he'd still be unable to read and he's in Grade 3. Best thing we have ever done.”

“He now has so much confidence in himself and such a positive attitude. He now believes that everyone learns differently and that's ok. It's amazing what you can achieve when someone believes in you.”

Equine Assisted Learning

“My teen daughter has consistently found her time at True Trails to be the highlight of the week. The whole life approach, working both on paper and in the paddock, has extended her skills and developed both talents and problem areas. The report writing and documentation has been outstanding and it's collaborative with other providers.”
